Biography
Arnika Ghaemmaghami was a 17-year-old student who participated in the Woman, Life, Freedom protests in Tehran. She died on October 22, 2022, after spending ten days in a coma at a military hospital due to severe brain trauma caused by multiple baton strikes to her head by security forces. Her death became a prominent example of the violent crackdown on young protesters in Iran.
آرنیکا قائممقامی دانشآموز ۱۷ سالهای بود که در جریان اعتراضات «زن، زندگی، آزادی» در تهران شرکت کرد. او در ۳۰ مهر ۱۴۰۱، پس از ده روز کما در یک بیمارستان نظامی، بر اثر ضربه مغزی ناشی از ضربات متعدد باتوم نیروهای امنیتی به سرش جان باخت. نام او به عنوان یکی از نوجوانانی که برای حق زندگی آزاد جان دادند، در یادها جاودانه شده است.
